Kalpana Tanwar
Kalpana is a trained and practising Jungian psychotherapist, conflict facilitator, and educator.
She has an MA in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, India, and has worked for 20 years in the field of qualitative market research in the 80s and 90s in Mumbai, eventually starting her own firm called See-Tru, where she introduced the one-way mirror viewing facility for the first time ever in Mumbai, in the 90s. This was a model she developed from her psychotherapy training.
From 2002 onwards, she pursued her MA and Diplomate qualification in Process Work/ Process Oriented Psychology in Portland, Oregon, USA.
She taught for nine years at the Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bengaluru, (2010-2019) where she interacted extensively with young adults. Her paper, ‘Our Constant Companion’ was published in 2018, by Srishti and Cumulus International Association of Universities and Colleges in Art, Design and Media c/o Aalto University, School of Art, Design and Architecture, Finland. It was also presented at ‘Letters to the Future’ Cumulus Conference in Bengaluru in 2017.
Since then, she has been in private practice working with individuals and families as a psychotherapist, and an educator running workshops and courses for groups. Her diverse experience of working with corporates in market research and as a group facilitator, educator, and psychotherapist in India and abroad, gives her a unique edge in understanding relationship dynamics and how they play out in organisations. Her corporate workshops are based on the unknown, the unseen, and the shadow side of people and their interactions, and are thus deeply insightful. |
